Workshop description
Many TAs in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines are responsible for teaching tutorial sessions. However, running tutorials can pose unique challenges for TAs, especially in the remote environment. In this interactive workshop, we will discuss how to create an effective online tutorial environment and present ways of maximizing student participation. In this session, you will plan an online tutorial incorporating active learning and receive feedback on your plan. By the end of the session, you will be equipped with practical strategies for planning, running, and assessing your tutorials, with special attention to active learning strategies that can be used in any online/remote class.

This workshop has limited enrolment spots and often has a waiting list. If you have registered but can't complete the module, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
