Using LEARN's Quiz Feature (CTE6666)

Thursday, July 23, 2020 10:30 am - 11:30 am EDT (GMT -04:00)

Facilitators: Mary Power (Centre for Teaching Excellence) and Victoria Feth (Centre for Teaching Excellence)

Location: Online (LEARN Site)

Description

Online quizzes have many uses ranging from providing an incentive to students to keep up with course content or prepare in advance for an activity, to testing students' understanding of course concepts throughout the term or on midterm and final exams. In the asynchronous part of this session, participants will explore LEARN’s Quiz tool and resources in a LEARN course shell. The synchronous scheduled session will provide an opportunity for follow-up Q&A regarding quiz setup and grading options. Participants will be enrolled in the LEARN course shell several days prior to the synchronous session, which will be scheduled in Bongo Virtual Classroom.

Registration

Registration is required. CTE has a new registration system called GoSignMeUp. Before you can register for a workshop, you need to create an account (one time only). Once you've created an account, you can register for this workshop.

Cancellations

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.

Accessibility

The University of Waterloo is committed to achieving barrier-free accessibility for persons with disabilities who are studying, working, or visiting at Waterloo.
