Call for Proposals: 13th Annual University of Waterloo Teaching and Learning Conference


Proposals are invited for the 13th annual University of Waterloo Teaching and Learning Conference taking place on April 27 and April 28, 2022. Our 2022 conference theme is “Fostering Partnerships in Pedagogy.” We are excited to welcome Dr. Alison Cook-Sather, Mary Katherine Woodworth Professor of Education and Director of the Teaching and Learning Institute at Bryn Mawr College, as our keynote speaker.

Funding Announcement: The Province of Ontario's Reinvestment in its Virtual Learning Strategy

A message from our colleagues in the Centre for Extended Learning (CEL):

The Ontario government recently announced an additional $8 million of funding that builds on the previous $50 million investment in the Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS) program. This funding will again be administered through eCampusOntario. 

Funding will focus on four priority areas: 

  1. digital content
  2. digital content – extended reality
  3. digital capacity – targeted supports
  4. digital capacity – international marketing
