Development of the proposed MSD Prevention Guideline features 4 phases which are to span a total of 2 years.

Project Timeline

The 4 stages include:

  1. Evaluation and Needs
    1. Evaluate the current MSD Prevention Guidelines and Toolkit
    2. Determine Ontario’s workplace best practices and synthesize “best practices” (from literature and workplaces)
    3. Document Ontario workplaces’ needs for MSD Prevention  
    4. Summarize findings and reporting
  2. Develop the Guideline content and draft materials
    1. Prototype materials/documents created for user trials
    2. Formal assessment of draft content with stakeholders at a special CRE-MSD Conference and at other opportunities such as conferences and meetings, e.g.  PIP conference.
  3. Evaluate the new Guidelines’ content and perform user trials
    1. Fine tuning/redevelopment of content
  4. Prepare final content for Guideline and produce sample materials
