MSD Prevention in the Paramedic Sector

This conference will provide current research, workplace practice case studies, and related policy information on musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) prevention in the paramedic sector. Key areas of focus are vehicle design (cab layout, vibration); work organization (deployment); modes of conveyance (powered stretchers, stair chairs); and back care programs. 

A range of presenters including front-line staff, management, and researchers will address existing challenges and better practices for MSD prevention within the sector.

This conference will be of interest to individuals directly responsible for MSD prevention at the service level, including senior management, health and safety associations, municipal health and safety associates, union representatives, joint health and safety committee members, ergonomists providing MSD prevention services for the paramedic sector, and researchers.
