Webinar: Mitigating MSD in personal support workers and improving client mobility

April 11, 2017

This webinar was presented by Dr. Catherine Brookman, Dr. Sheila Ritcey, and Emily King.

Proficiency in mobility and manual skills is essential for quality of life for both caregivers and clients. This webinar looked at efforts to improve the mobility and manual skills of providers across the health care sector. Care practices that promote safe client movement were reviewed and the risks of existing practices examined. A framework was provided that promotes the optimal function and quality of life we seek for clients and the safe practice essential for care givers.

This webinar was offered through the client/patient handling community of practice (CoP), presented in partnership with CRE-MSD and PSHSA.
