Headshot of Emily Charron smilingEmily Charron joins the Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement as the Interim Coordinator during Michelle Jackett's maternity leave. Emily will be bringing her energy and passion to the Centre starting on March 1st, 2021.

Education: Emily has a graduate degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Conrad Grebel University College and the University of Waterloo, and a BA in Global Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University. 

About Emily

Emily has a passion for integrating research and practice with the goal of facilitating community-led transformation. She has conducted research on disability rights and traditional mental health care in Ghana as a Queen Elizabeth II Scholar with the Human Rights Advocacy Centre (HRAC). Emily has evaluated non-profit programming in the Region of Waterloo with the Centre for Community Based Research (CCBR) and continues to work on monitoring and evaluation projects within the Region. 

Emily comes to the Centre for Peace Advancement with a passion for developing creative and collaborative solutions to complex problems and a dedicated commitment to peacebuilding in her community and beyond.
