Katie joined the Epp Peace Incubator in September 2015, eager to invest the landscape of peace education in Waterloo Region. She holds a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo. She has over five years of experience developing and facilitating peace education curriculum for camp and classroom settings, and is passionate about giving youth the tools they need to transform conflict and seek justice. 

Rachel Watson

Rachel is thrilled to work with TREE,  coordinating and developing program content for the TREE Classroom programs. While completing her BA in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Waterloo,  Rachel worked in Zambia as the Program Coordinator for a peace education organization, Peace Clubs. After writing peace curriculum and leading workshops overseas, she is excited about bringing her knowledge about peace education to youth in her own backyard. She is also passionate about refugee issues, yoga, mindfulness, and empowering young women. 


Aaron Holden

TREE Classrooms Facilitation Lead

Aaron HoldenAaron began working with TREE in 2017. Aaron is a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers. Aaron graduated with a bachelors of arts in contemporary studies and a bachelors of education in primary/junior grades from Nipissing and Wilfrid Laurier Universities in Brantford. He has spent several summers working for the City of Kitchener in their accessibility division. He strongly believes in equity and fairness for all. Aaron is excited to be working to promote positive interactions between students, and to lead TREE's facilitation team. <--break->

Sarah Klujber

TREE Classrooms Program Assistant

Sarah KlujberSarah is a global studies major with an advanced minor in management at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is eager to begin her third year with TREE because she loves encourage students to engage with real-life problems while giving them the tools to solve them. Sarah brings several years of experience working with youth and facilitating camp programs. She is passionate about equality, education, and opportunities to learn with and from others. <--break-><--break->
