Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Speakers Series hosted by the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business.

The Conrad School is hosting a lunch hour Speakers' Series as part of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week 2019 global awareness and celebration. Please join us to network and hear 20-minute presentations covering entrepreneurship topics. Lunch will be provided.

Day 1 - Monday, November 18th between 12:30pm and 1:30pm

The Creative Entrepreneur – Marc Hurwitz

Marc Hurwitz, PhD, MBA, MSc, is a Lecturer and Associate Director, Undergraduate and Non-Degree Programs at the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business. In his former role, he was an Assistant Professor at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and is currently the Chief Innovation Officer for FliPskills. Marc earned his PhD from the University of Waterloo, his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and his MSc from McMaster University.

Leading a Diverse Team – Janet Boekhorst

Janet Boekhorst, BComm, MIR, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business. She was an Adjunct Professor at York University and University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Janet earned her PhD from York University and her Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) from Queen’s University. She teaches BET 340 - Essentials of Entrepreneurial Planning and Execution and BET 450 – Leadership.
