SUMMARY:Seminar Speaker: Professor Ingo Krossing
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:ABSTRACT: Ingo Krossing steers a synthetic inorganic / organome
tallic\nchemistry group that bridges to computational\, physical\, materia
ls and\nelectrochemistry. His core expertise starts with weakly coordinati
ng\nanions (WCAs) and was extended over the years to basic and applied\nIO
NIC SYSTEMS\, i.e. compounds and materials (systems) in which ions\ndeterm
ine their properties. The IONIC SYSTEMS under investigation\nrange from ve
ry basic reactive cation salts\,[1-5] to more applied\nsystems like electr
olytes for batteries and battery materials. To\ninvestigate the electroche
mical relations between such IONIC SYSTEMS\,\nsolvent independent unified
redox and acidity scales – applicable to\nall phases – were developed.
