SUMMARY:Seminar - “Multifunctional Materials for Electronics and\nPhotoni
cs”\, Federico Rosei\, UNESCO Chair in Materials and\nTechnologies for E
nergy Conversion\, Saving and Storage\, Centre for\nEnergy\, Materials and
  Telecommunications\, INRS\, Varennes (QC)\, Canada
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:ABSTRACT: The bottom–up approach is considered a potential\na
lternative for low cost manufacturing of nanostructured materials\n[1]. It
is based on the concept of self–assembly of nanostructures\non a substr
ate\, and is emerging as an alternative paradigm for\ntraditional top down
fabrication used in the semiconductor industry.\nWe demonstrate various s
trategies to control nanostructure assembly\n(both organic and inorganic)
 at the nanoscale.
