SUMMARY:Seminar - \"A Linear Stability Analysis for Inertial Two-phase Flow
  in\nHomogeneous Porous Media\" by Prof. Didier Lasseux\, Mechanical\nEngi
 neering\, University of Bordeaux
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:ABSTRACT: In this work\, the issue of stability for two-phase\n
incompressible flow in homogeneous porous media out of the Darcy\nregime
(i.e. when inertia must be taken into account) is considered.\nThe develop
ment is based on a macroscopic model derived by upscaling\nthe pore-scale
Navier-Stokes equations\, assuming that the inertial\ncorrection is quad
ratic in the filtration velocity\, as widely admitted\nwith the classical
  Darcy-Forchheimer model.
