SUMMARY:Seminar - “Challenges in the Development of Fuel Cells for\nAutom
 otive Applications” by Thomas F. Fuller\, Professor\, School of\nChemica
l Engineering and Biomolecular Engineering\, Georgia Tech
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:The transportation system is a major source of emissions of car
bon\ndioxide.  Fuel cell vehicles operating on renewable generated\nhydro
gen is one of ways to remove carbon from the transportation\nsystem.  Th
e main barriers for adoption of this technology is cost\nand hydrogen infr
astructure.  The life cost of fuel-cell systems can\nbe addressed by maki
ng the fuel cell more durable.  Specific\nchallenges for fuel cell develo
 pment are examined.
