The University of Waterloo Electrochemical Society student chapter (WatECS) is excited to invite you to a virtual Open-Source Battery Modeling Workshop! This workshop will be on Tuesday, August 23rd, from 10 am to 11 am (EDT). In this workshop, we’ll be hosting developers and representatives of two Python-based open-source battery modeling platforms, PyBaMM and BatteryDev, who will give an overview of their platforms and examples of the kinds of battery modeling that can be accomplished with them. PyBamm is a Python programming language-based simulation platform that uses various battery electrochemical, thermal and degradation models, while BatteryDev is an annual hackathon connecting a group of battery, data science, and machine learning experts.

This event requires registration at: https://watecs-open-source-battery-modeling-workshop.eventbrite.ca. The Zoom link and information can be found below.

This is a public event, so please feel free to forward this email to all who may be interested. Please note a code will be provided in the Zoom meeting chat 15 minutes before the workshop concludes for students to receive an attendance credit.
