Undergraduate students, Yung Priscilla Lai, Kyung Eun Sun, Hiroki Takamura win second place poster presentation capstone design project award

Congratulations to Yung Priscilla Lai, Kyung Eun Sun and Hiroki Takamura on winning the 2nd place poster presentation (capstone design project) for designing an undergraduate food processing laboratory for the University of Waterloo, held at the 4th annual Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA) Conference in  Montreal, QC on June 17-20, 2013.

Graduate Student Drew Higgins wins Electrochemical Society Research Award

PhD student Drew Higgins has been named the recipient of the 2013 Electrochemical Society (ECS) Canadian Section Student Award for his research on nanostructured fuel cell and battery electrode materials, carried out under the supervision of Prof. Zhongwei Chen.

Prof. Flora Ng wins the 2013 Canadian Green Chemistry and Engineering Award

This national individual award, sponsored by GreenCentre Canada, is for an individual working in Canada who has made significant contributions to advance green chemistry and/or engineering, including the technical, human health and environmental benefits. From the award announcement:

Waterloo ranked among top in world for engineering and technology

The QS international university rankings have placed Waterloo at No. 46 (No. 2 in Canada) for Engineering & Technology this year, surpassing both UBC and McGill University.
