Thirty-five teams of fourth-year Chemical Engineering students shared the results of their Capstone Design project with fellow classmates, faculty, family and friends at this year’s Capstone Design Symposium in Engineering 6 on March 11, 2019.
The Symposium was an exciting conclusion to the past two years they have spent researching and attempting to solve some of the challenges our world faces. Each team conceptualized and designed a solution to a problem of their choice.
The Department of Chemical Engineering’s hosted its Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on February 28th. The enthusiasm of the students – in the audience and at the podium – showed why this exciting event remains so popular.
Congratulations to the following people for their winning presentations:
First: Kiana Amini, for Redox Flow Batteries for Energy Storage Applications
Second: John Kong, for Smart Energy Systems: Developing Energy Infrastructure for the Future
Third: Prachi Panchal, for Photo-degradation of Epoxy Through Modified CNC
