Congratulations to Chemical Engineering grad student Nikolai Burton for being awarded the David Johnson International Student Entrance Scholarship! Nikolai, a native of Barbados grew up on the island spending time with his family and playing football and cricket. As our spotlight on Capstone 2022 continues, we’re delighted to highlight Team 24. Team members include Grace Thompson, Melina Papadakis, Lauren Valliere, and Cameron Douglas. Their project was titled Musqueam Fleet Electrification.
The competition was stiff at the 2022 Concept Pitch Competition. Twenty-two teams of University of Waterloo Students pitched their ideas at the Concept $5k semi-finals. Four teams won the coveted $5,000 prize! James Lowman, chemical engineering Ph.D. student, and his team, Cauchy Analytics were one of the big winners!
