Traditional subdisciplines
As a chemistry major, you can choose to focus your studies in one of our traditional subdisciplines that are as follows:
- Analytical chemistry
- Biochemistry/biological chemistry
- Inorganic chemistry
- Organic chemistry
- Physical/theoretical chemistry
- Polymer chemistry
Specializations
Chemistry majors (those who are in the honours Chemistry or cooperative honours Chemistry academic programs) may by a judicious choice of elective course focus their studies in one of the traditional subdisciplines of chemistry; they may also choose to tailor their studies to satisfy the Computational Specialization, which is available to both regular and co-op streams.
