Natalya O’Neill (centre), a Materials and Nanosciences student, was among six students recognized today by the University of Waterloo for their outstanding achievements in co-operative education.
Prof. Tadeusz Górecki has been named the winner of the 2017 GCxGC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Initiated in 2011, this annual award is given to an experienced scientist who has made significant contributions in promoting GCxGC instrumentation, method development, and applications.

Marcel Nooijen, a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, won the 2017 Tom Ziegler Award.
Awarded by the Canadian Society for Chemistry, the Tom Ziegler Award is given to a chemist who has made a distinguished contribution to computational or theoretical chemistry while working in Canada.
