The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that Brooke McNeil has been selected the inaugural recipient of the Carey Bissonnette Memorial Scholarship, established last year by the family and friends of our dear colleague. Carey was a talented and devoted instructor, and he always appreciated students who not only achieved much academically, but contributed to both the teaching and research goals of the Department and the University. The Department Awards Committee felt that Brooke demonstrated outstanding achievement in each of these areas, and we are pleased that she will be recognized as the first winner of this important award.
