Professor Karanassios was honoured with a research leadership award from the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN). The award-winning work was described in a book chapter entitled “Microfluidics and Nanofluidics: Science, Fabrication Technology (From Cleanrooms to 3D Printing) and Their Application to Chemical Analysis by Battery-Operated Microplasmas-On-Chips”. Since its publication, this invited, open-access book chapter has been downloaded more than 650 times.
