New technology developed by researchers at the University of Waterloo engineers natural fermentation to produce a biodegradable chemical that can be refined as a source of energy.

CSCE 2nd Place Finish – 2019 President’s Best Chapter Award

Congratulations to the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) UW Chapter, placed 2nd out of 26 schools for the 2019 Presidents Best Chapter Award. This award will be given out at the Student Chapter Leaders Workshop during the CSCE annual conference in Laval, Montreal on Friday, June 14, 2019. On Monday May 27th, the annual Bison Transport Debate was held at the 54th Annual Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF) Conference in Vancouver, BC. The Bison Transport Debate has been conducted in conjunction with the CTRF Annual Meeting since 1996.

Vote Waterloo's Haya Almutairi for 3MT champion

The 3MT challenges competitors to use 1 static slide and 3 minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their graduate research to a non-specialist audience.Haya Almutairi, a PhD Candidate in Civil & Environmental Engineering, was chosen to represent Waterloo at the Ontario Provincial 3MT finals.
