What is the process if I want to return to the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department?

Before you can return to campus, the following must be completed:

  • You must complete all mandatory safety training, see the full list here.  Note that there are additional requirements for those working in labs or as lab supervisors in the last section of the webpage.  If you require clarification regarding which courses you are required to complete, please contact Amber Beaudoin

Can I access the Graduate Lounge?

Graduate Lounge – This space is open for eating and refrigerated storage, heating food and using the kettle. Disinfectant spray/wipes are provided and appliances must be wiped before and after use.  As a reminder, small appliances are not permitted in graduate offices as they pose a fire hazard. If you are unsure of the lounge door code, please contact amber.beaudoin@uwaterloo.ca.

How can I access my office or request an office space?

  • Effective Thursday, February 10, 2022, the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering will open all graduate, post-doctoral and research associate offices at 100% occupancy. The Graduate Lounge is now open.
  • Offices (100% Occupancy Limit) - We ask everyone to be mindful of your office mate(s)
  • All Graduate students, Post-Doctoral Fellows and Research Associates MUST have completed all required Health & Safety courses prior to returning to campus. If you are unsure whether you have completed all of the required courses, contact amber.beaudoin@uwaterloo.ca.

What is the process if I want to return to the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department?

Complete all mandatory safety training courses.  Note that if you are a supervisor, a supervisor of high-risk work, or a lab user there are additional training requirements. For clarification of required courses, please contact Amber Beaudoin

Undergraduate students who are enrolled in Architectural, Civil, Environmental, or Geological Engineering programs and plan to return to campus for classes or labs must compete the mandatory departmental safety training as outlined here. If you require clarification regarding which courses you are required to complete, please contact Amber Beaudoin

Each building has a single access point they are identified in the map below. In event that the other doors to the buildings are locked please use your FOB to access the buildings at these locations.
