Biblical Figures in late Antique Poetry

This conference explores the relationship between poetry and scripture in the Latin, Greek, Syriac, and Hebrew poetic traditions of Late Antiquity (c. 300-700 CE), with a focus upon the reception of Genesis. Participants aim to further interdisciplinary dialogue, in order to understand better the numerous links and interactions between Hebrew, Syriac, Greek, and Latin literature of the period.
