Through a number of channels, IC3 is supporting students from a variety of disicplines on campus who are interested in or conducting research on climate change.
Master of Climate Change
IC3 and its members support the Master of Climate Change program, which was the first of its kind in North America when it began in 2013.
The Climate Students group provides a way for students of any age and any program on campus to connect with one another for discussion, learning and action regarding climate change.
COP Student Delegations
IC3 plays a big role in selecting student delegations from the University of Waterloo to participate in the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This is an incredible experience for students to contribute to the global climate change dialogue.
Interns and Co-op Students
Interns and co-op students also provide valuable research and administrative capacity to IC3:
- Fall 2016 - Mersedeh Abedi
- Spring 2016 - Jordan Blake
- Winter 2016 - Michelle Gordon
- Spring 2015 - Alex Cadel
- Winter 2015 - Andrea Minano
- Spring 2014 - Suzanne Perdeaux
Many students on campus are actively involved in research related to climage climate. IC3 members have played a role in supervising many Master's and PhD students from a variety of disciplines who are conducting research on climate change.
