The University of Waterloo is holding its first ever Worldwide Climate Justice Teach-In for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as interested community members, on March 23-24, 2022. The event will bring together faculty and researchers to talk about climate change from their disciplinary perspective across five panels.
We hope you'll join us for this two day event to identify what we can all do to lead the change for our shared future.
Wednesday, March 23 | 4 - 7 p.m.
- Panel 1: Climate Justice starting at 4 p.m.
- Panel 2: Affordable and Clean Energy Access starting at 5 p.m.
- Panel 3: Winning the Story Wars starting at 6 p.m.
Thursday, March 24 | 1 - 3:30 p.m.
- Panel 4: Climate Solutions, Canada and Beyond starting at 1 p.m.
- Panel 5: Solve Climate, Advance the SDG's - Youth Perspective starting at 2:30 p.m.
Registration information
There is no cost to sign up for the teach-in and you may select which panels you would like to participate in. About the program
The Worldwide Climate Justice Teach-In is a project of the Graduate Programs in Sustainability at Bard College in New York, USA, in conjunction with global partners. It aims to recruit 1,000 schools and universities around the globe to engage 500,000 students in learning about climate change and climate justice. The Teach-In at the University of Waterloo is led by the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy with support from student partners and the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change.
