So how do we get there?" Sarah shares her expertise in sustainable governance, decarbonization, and climate change. She discusses how immedaite action is needed to meet Canada's goal of net-zero emissions and illustrates her vision for a decarbonized Canada.

"Yesterday, last year, 10 years ago is when we needed to start decarbonizing the Canadian economy. This isn't something you can sort of flick a switch on 20 years from now. It's a process that takes decades to unfold." Sarah Burch

Sarah Burch is an Associate Professor in the department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo and holds a Canada Research Chair in Sustainability Governance and Innovation.
