Working with teams in nine countries around the world, Sarah created and is using the international research partnership TRANSFORM to build capacity among small and medium enterprises to implement sustainability experiments that help make communities more just, inclusive, and low carbon. Having received a $2.4 million grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, TRANSFORM is focused on solving complex, real-world sustainability problems in close partnership with private sector, civil society, and government partners. Since the start of the COVID pandemic, their work has shifted to examine how sustainability contributes to the resilience of businesses in response to crises.
