The University of Waterloo is leading the way in training the first generation of climate change professionals. Waterloo offers two nationally unique graduate programs that equip students and early-career professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills necessary to manage, minimize and mitigate climate change and extreme weather impacts.


Graduate diploma in Climate Risk Management (CRM)

Master of Climate Change StudentsThe Climate Risk Management (CRM) diploma is a fully online program that provides early-to mid-career professionals with a unique learning experience and the opportunity to integrate climate risk management within their field of work. 

This part-time, entirely online program focuses on applied skills that are relevant across multiple disciplines and professions.

Master of Climate Change

Recognizing the need for international education and professional training specific to climate change, IC3 was the catalyst for the development of the Master of Climate Change (MCC) program. This one-year, course-based program provides a unique educational experience to students interested in the many emerging career paths in climate change science, policy and management.
