Co-operative education is synonymous with the University of Waterloo. It’s one of the innovations that the University was founded on nearly 60 years ago. Today, our incomparable co-operative education program is the reason 70% of incoming undergraduate students choose Waterloo.

    The University of Waterloo has been ranked the number one university in Canada for employer partnerships—and number four in the world—according to the 2018 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Graduate Employability Rankings.

    This puts Waterloo in the top 1 percent of universities in the world for employer partnerships.

    Partnerships for Employment (P4E) is a partnership between the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Guelph and Conestoga College. P4E hosts two events per year: a Career Fair (last Wednesday in September, annually) and a Job Fair (first Wednesday in February, annually).
