Title: Quantum State Transfer

Abstract:

Many quantum algorithms may be modeled as a quantum process occurring on a graph.  We interpret quantum channels implemented by spin chains as wires for transmission of states.  A major goal of quantum communication is to transfer states with high fidelity.  At the maximum fidelity of 1, we say we can achieve perfect state transfer; if fidelities arbitrarily close to 1 can be obtained, we say we can achieve pretty good state transfer.  We discuss perfect and pretty good state transfer on paths.
