SUMMARY:Tutte Colloquium - Chloe Martindale
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: Constructing broken SIDH parameters: a tale of De Feo\,
  Jao\,\nand Plut's serendipity\n\nSpeaker:\n Chloe Martindale\n\nAffiliati
on:\n University of Bristol\n\nZoom:\n Please email Emma Watson\n\nABSTRA
CT:\n\nThis talk is motivated by analyzing the security of the cryptograph
ic\nkey exchange protocol SIDH (Supersingular Isogeny Diffie-Hellman)\,\ni
ntroduced by 2011 by De Feo\, Jao\, and Plut. We will first recall some\nm
athematical background as well as the protocol itself. The 'keys' in\nthis
protocol are elliptic curves\, which are typically described by\nequation
 s in x and y of the form y^2 = x^3 + ax + b.
