SUMMARY:Algebraic Graph Theory Seminar - Sabrina Lato
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: A Spectral Moore Bound for Bipartite Semiregular Graphs
 \n\nSpeaker:\n Sabrina Lato\n\nAffiliation:\n University of Waterloo\n\nZo
om:\n Contact Soffia Arnadottir\n\nABSTRACT:\n\nThe Moore bound provides a
n upper bound on the number of vertices of a\nregular graph with a given d
egree and diameter\, though there are\ndisappointingly few graphs that ach
ieve this bound. Thus\, it is\ninteresting to ask what additional informat
ion can be used to give\nMoore-type bounds that are tight for a larger num
ber of graphs.\nCioaba\, Koolen\, Nozaki\, and Vermette considered regular
graphs with a\ngiven second-largest eigenvalue\, and found an upper bound
  for such\ngraphs.
