 n\nABSTRACT:\n\nThis talk will introduce semidistrim lattices\, which gene
 ralize\nsemidistributive lattices and trim lattices\; these two families\,
  in\nturn\, generalize distributive lattices. We will discuss structural\,
 \ntopological\, and dynamical properties of semidistrim lattices. In\npart
 icular\, we will see how one can define a certain bijective\noperator on a
  semidistrim lattice called rowmotion\; this definition\nunifies the defin
 ition that Barnard gave for semidistributive lattices\nand the definition 
 that Thomas and Williams gave for trim lattices.
