SUMMARY:Algebraic Graph Theory Seminar - Sabrina Lato
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: New Characterizations of Distance-Biregular Graphs\n\nSp
 eaker:\n Sabrina Lato\n\nAffiliation:\n University of Waterloo\n\nLocation
:\n please contact Sabrina Lato for Zoom link\n\nAbstract: Fiol\, Garriga\
 , and Yebra introduced the notion of\npseudo-distance-regular vertices\, a
nd were able to use this notion to\ncome up with a characterization of whe
n a graph is distance-regular.\nSubsequently\, Fiol and Garriga were able
to use\npseudo-distance-regular vertices and a bound on the excess of a ve
rtex\nto come up with another characterization of distance-regular graphs.
\nWe will present an overview of their results\, as well as recent\nextens
 ions to distance-biregular graphs.
