SUMMARY:Algebraic Graph Theory - Karen Yeats
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: Diagonal coefficients of Kirchhoff polynomials of 2k-reg
ular\ngraphs and the proof of the c_2 completion conjecture\n\nSPEAKER:\n
Karen Yeats\n\nAFFILIATION:\n University of Waterloo and Perimeter Institu
te\n\nLOCATION:\n Please contact Sabrina Lato for Zoom link\n\nABSTRACT:
I have for many years been interested in graph invariants\nwith the same
symmetries as the Feynman period. Recently Erik Panzer\nfound a new such i
nvariant coming from a particular coefficient of the\nMartin polynomial. T
ogether we used this to prove an over 10 year old\nconjecture on an arithm
etic graph invariant known as the c_2\ninvariant\, and came to understand
that diagonal coefficients of\nKirchhoff polynomials tie together many of
the known graph invariants\nwith the symmetries of Feynman periods and unl
ock previously\ninaccessible proofs.\n\nJoint work with Erik Panzer.
