SUMMARY:Algebraic Graph Theory - Xiaoye Liang
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: Thin distance-regular graphs with classical parameters\n
$(D\,q\,q\,\\frac{q^{t}-1}{q-1}-1)$ with $t> D$ are the Grassmann graphs\n
\nSPEAKER:\n Xiaoye Liang\n\nAFFILIATION:\n Anhui Jianzhu University\n\nLO
CATION:\n Please contact Sabrina Lato for Zoom link\n\nABSTRACT: In the
survey paper by Van Dam\, Koolen and Tanaka\n(Distance-regular graphs\, El
ectron. J. Comb.\, Dynamic Survey (2016)\,\n\\#DS22)\, they asked to class
ify the thin $Q$-polynomial\ndistance-regular graphs. In this talk\, we wi
ll discuss our result\nwhich states that the Grassmann graphs with large d
iameter are\ncharacterized by their intersection numbers under the extra c
ondition\nthat they are thin.\n\nThis is joint work with Jack Koolen and Y
ing-Ying Tan.
