SUMMARY:Tutte Colloquium - Amena Assem Abd-AlQader Mahmoud
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: Nash-Williams Orientation for Infinite Graphs\n\nSPEAKER
:\n Amena Assem Abd-AlQader Mahmoud\n\nAFFILIATION:\n University of Waterl
 oo\n\nLOCATION:\n MC 5501\n\nABSTRACT: Nash-Williams proved in 1960 that a
 n edge-connectivity of 2k\nis sufficient for a finite graph to admit a k-a
rc-connected\norientation and conjectured that the same holds for infinite
graphs.\nWe show that the conjecture is true for locally finite graphs wi
th\ncountably many ends.\n\nThis is joint work with Max Pitz and Marcel Ko
 loschin.
