 ill present the results of my masters\nthesis. I examine three application
 s of analytic methods to problems\nin combinatorics. By coincidence\, eac
 h problem involves a\ncombinatorial structure named for a plant--AVL trees
 \, cactus graphs\,\nand sunflowers--which we refer to collectively as comb
 inatorial\nplants.
