SUMMARY:Algebraic & Enumerative Combinatorics - William Chan
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:TITLE: Control over the Kerov-Kirillov-Reshetikhin bijection w
ith\nrespect to the nesting structure on rigged configurations\n\nSPEAKER:
\n William Chan\n\nAFFILIATION:\n University of Waterloo\n\nLOCATION:\n MC
5479\n\nThere will be a pre-seminar presenting relevant background at the
\nbeginning graduate level starting at 1pm.\n\nABSTRACT: The talk will di
scuss controlling the\nKerov-Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KKR) bijection between
semistandard\ntableaux and rigged configurations with a particular emphasi
s on the\nstandard case. We introduce theorems and techniques to control t
he\nshape of the first rigged partition. We also introduce an operation on
\na standard tableau which induces a very small\, very controlled change\n
in the riggings of the corresponding rigged configuration. Despite how\nsp
ecific this operation seems\, it can be used to manipulate all the\nriggin
gs on the first rigged partition of a rigged configuration. It\ncan also b
e used to give an alternate method to Kuniba et al. in order\nto \"unwrap\
" the natural nesting structure on rigged configurations.\nThe connection
to the multi colour box ball system is discussed.
