 eory is an approach to quantum gravity where\nthe  underlying spacetime i
 s a locally finite poset.  This opens up\nmany interesting combinatorial 
 questions on posets that are either\nuseful to the physics or that are ask
 ed by the physics but wouldn't\nnecessarily be asked from a purer perspect
 ive.  This talk is about\none of the latter questions. Glaser gave a form
 ula for the causal set\ntheory analogue of the d'Alembertian in general di
 mension (growing out\nof previous work of Sorkin\, Benincasa and Dowker\, 
 and Dowker and\nGlaser).  The formula \n\ncontains integer coefficients.
   Who can resist trying to find\nsomething that they count -- not me! --
