SUMMARY:An Introduction to Puppetry Workshop

DESCRIPTION:This workshop is an introduction to puppetry wherein the goal i
 s to\nhave the participant walk away with an understanding of the\nfundame
 ntals of working with puppets of various styles.  Most of the\nwork will 
 include manipulation of basic puppets and found objects but\nwe will attem
 pt to cover work with full body and over sized puppets as\nwell as the Jap
 anese style of bunraku.  Some of the different styles\nwill involve partn
 ered manipulation.  The workshop will also involve\nimprovisations work w
 ith much of the focus being on maintaining a\nnarrative.
