SUMMARY:Algorithmyth
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:The starting point for the performance is an investigation of t
 he\nstock market - traditionally a place where probability\, ritual and\ni
ntuition collide.  Increasingly\, it has become the domain of\nalgorithmi
c approaches\, where decisions are made at speeds far beyond\nhuman capaci
ty to evaluate or intervene.  Eventually the scope of the\nproject will e
xpand to include other aspects of contemporary\ncapitalist culture where a
lgorithms are having an increasingly\ndeterministic effect\, where algorit
hms approach mythic status and\nshape all manner of relationships\, notion
 s of value and thought.
