TomorrowLove is a series of thematically-linked playlets, set in many different versions of the near future, where one piece of technology has been developed with the intention of helping humans with their relationships. Sometimes it winds up bringing people closer together, and sometimes it pushes them further apart. First presented in a funeral home, TomorrowLove has been described as a mash-up between ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ and ‘Black Mirror’.

Join moderator William Chesney (Associate Dean of Arts) for a conversation with playwright Rosamund Small, for insights into her process, her influences and what inspired her to write TomorrowLove. Rosamund Small is the Dora-Award winning playwright of Sisters (Soulpepper, 2018), TomorrowLove, Vitals (Outside the March, 2016, 2014), and other theatre works including documentary, solo show, and large-scale immersive projects. In addition to playwriting, Rosamund is currently story coordinator for Workin’ Moms Season 3 on CBC, and collaborates on dance-narrative work with Robert Binet and the National Ballet of Canada.
