Momentum around sustainability is building.

In 2009, the University of Waterloo committed to taking further action alongside all Ontario universities as part of the Council of Ontario Universities Going Greener pledge. Since then, sustainability efforts have been flourishing on many campuses: new academic programs empower students to tackle pressing challenges, universities embed sustainable practices in their operations, and are increasingly using strategies to engage campus stakeholders.

From November 16-20,

Trick or Eaters make a difference on the scariest night of the year

Students in costumes around boxes of canned food

As darkness fell on October 31, non-perishable food items were collected throughout our city streets in support of the national hunger-awareness initiative, Trick or Eat.

Created by Meal Exchange as a youth-led, cross-Canada event, Trick or Eat puts a new spin on the annual night of giving – Halloween. Held on the scariest night of the year, thousands of Trick or Eaters throughout the country go door-to-door collecting food items for local community organizations, and funds to support students advocating for food for all.
