Posts for Current students

From public lectures to signature celebrations such as Canada Day, we're honoured to invite our community to the University of Waterloo.

Calling all Donors

The Blood Signal, a media campaign to signify times of great need for donated blood, is activated numerous times per year. To help prevent these times of great need the University of Waterloo hosts a number of blood donor clinics throughout the year. Each year through these clinics Waterloo donates over 800 units of blood to help those in need.

Premier Wynne talks to local students

Partnering with Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Waterloo hosted Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and members of our campus communities on Tuesday afternoon. Students had the unique opportunity to interact with Premier Wynne during a series of discussions and Q&A session.

Come in the Doors Open

Each year as part of Doors Open Waterloo Region we invite our community to join us for a special look inside our buildings and to learn more about what goes on at the University of Waterloo.  At our locations this year Waterloo offers the public the opportunity to step inside our doors and learn about the human eye, see medicinal plants, and explore the last industrial plant built on the Grand River.

Be sure to visit Waterloo’s School of Architecture, School of Optometry, and School of Pharmacy as we open our doors to the public on Saturday September 20, 2014.

Join UWaterloo to Take Back the Night

All students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to join the University of Waterloo and participate in Waterloo Region's 31st annual Take Back the Night rally and march.  Take Back the Night addresses the rights of women, children, and trans*people to be safe, without violence, regardless of age, creed, location, numbers, or attire.

Global Business and Digital Arts Orientation

On September 4th, 2014 the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus welcomed 135 incoming and upper year students, professors and staff for Orientation 2014.  Students had the chance to learn more about their program, and to experience all that the City of Stratford has to offer.

Each year over 31,000 students attend the University of Waterloo and call Waterloo Region their home.

On September 3, as part of Orientation week, Waterloo's Student Success Office and the Federation of Students planned an evening of fun and activities out in our community called World of Waterloo.
