Waterloo Warriors face off against Golden Hawks in the Battle of Waterloo

Battle of Waterloo

Join the University of Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday, November 2 at the Kitchener Aud at 7:15 p.m. as they battle the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.

Creating a sense of unity and pride through Warrior Tribe

By increasing opportunities for University of Waterloo students to contribute to our vibrant campus, The Warrior Tribe is actively creating a sense of unity through study, sports, and most of all, spirit.

The Warrior Tribe celebrates UWaterloo pride and aims to be inclusive, providing students with new and exciting ways to succeed and maintain a healthy and active student body. This campus club pushes the importance of play and sport in the community, as well as student interaction, involvement, and awareness across the academic faculties by building school spirit. Throughout each academic term, The Warrior Tribe runs events that promote attendance at varsity games and participation in intramural sports. Community members are encouraged to attend the varsity games and cheer alongside the Warrior fans.

Women's Hockey Family Literacy Day

The University of Waterloo Women’s Hockey Team partnered with the Waterloo Public Library during “Stories N’Skate for Family Literacy Day” to provide an afternoon of fun for the whole family. The Lady Warriors were able to interact with the children one-on-one through crafts, activities and stories before everyone headed onto the ice for the free skate. The purpose of this event was to help the community join together in nurturing future generations through literacy and activities. The Stories N’Skate encourages children to enjoy reading and to stay active throughout their lives, while also giving the Warrior athletes an opportunity to give back to their community that has supported them through their athletic careers.

Real Warriors Wear Pink

The end of November marks the wrap up of Waterloo's annual Think Pink campaign lead by our department of athletics and recreation.  In its 7th year, Think Pink raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research with all funds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario division.

Think Pink began as an initiative by Waterloo's Women's Basketball team and in just seven years has expanded to include multiple varsity teams, recreational activities, and other fundraising events engaging the entire University community.
