Anxiety Canada is an organization that raises awareness about anxiety and supports improved access to resources. They strive towards their mission of reducing anxiety as a barrier that people face. “Returning to a new normal” is a resource with tips for individuals dealing with various forms of anxiety who might be struggling with returning to normal daily routines as the impacts of COVID-19 change throughout Canada.

Canadian Red Cross – 21 days of hope (Pdf)

21 days of hope is a guide developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic for youth eight to 16 years old with parents and caregivers. The guide encourages readers to learn something new every day, help other people, and do something kind for themselves. The goal of this guide is to help families stay connected through daily questions and activities.

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)coping during COVID-19: a resource for youth (Pdf)

CAMH has created an information sheet with tips for youth to take care of themselves and their mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Suggested tips and strategies are categorized into eight different themes: stay informed, support your physical health, create a routine, stay connected, set boundaries, be mindful of safer substance use, cope with stress, and look into financial resources. Share this information sheet with students via email, social media platforms, or simply post them on communication walls.

The Child Mind Institute is an organization that works to provide educational resources for youth and their families that are struggling with mental health challenges. This COVID-19 resource for youth guides them how to build healthy coping skills throughout the pandemic and how to know if they might need to seek external help.
