SUMMARY:PhD Seminar • Data Systems | NLP • Backward-compatibility for\n
 Neural NLP Models
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE: THIS PHD SEMINAR WILL BE GIVEN ONLINE.\n\nYUQING X
 IE\, PHD CANDIDATE\n_David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science_\n\nSUPE
RVISORS: Professors Ming Li\, Jimmy Lin\n\nI would like to share the work
I did during the internship with AWS AI\nabout Backward-Compatibility NLP
models. Behavior of deep neural\nnetworks can be inconsistent between diff
erent versions. Regressions\nduring model update are a common cause of con
cern that often\nover-weigh the benefits in accuracy or efficiency gain.
