Accounting & Finance Living-Learning Community
Computing & Financial Management (CFM) students have the added advantage of being one of only 4 programs at Waterloo that can participate in the Accounting & Finance Living Learning Community (SAF LLC). The SAF LLC is a cluster of students from the following programs living together in residence:
- Computing and Financial Management
- Accounting and Financial Management
- Mathematics/Chartered Professional Accounting
- Biotechnology/Chartered Professional Accounting
Each cluster of 10 to 20 students is assigned a peer leader, an upper-year SAF student. A peer leader is in addition to a traditional residence don and will not likely live in your residence. Your peer leader will be in regular contact with you to ensure that you are adjusting well to life and study at Waterloo. He or she will be available to answer any of your questions, help you create a student success plan, and organize group events designed with the needs of professional accounting and finance students in mind.
We strongly encourage all CFM students to consider living in the SAF LLC. CFM is a challenging program and the SAF LLC is a great way to benefit from relevant resources right at your doorsteps, neighbours who are facing the same challenges as you, and upper-year students who have been there – done that!
To be a part of the SAF LLC, you must indicate your interest on your Residence Community Ranking Form.
